This notice explains what information this website collects, how the campaign uses it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only.
Who we are
This website is run by Phat Bui for Garden Grove City Council 2026, the campaign committee of Patrick Phat Bui, candidate for Garden Grove City Council, District 4. In this notice, “we” and “the campaign” mean that committee. Our phone number, email address and campaign address are under Contact at the end of this page.
What we collect
We collect what you choose to send us, and the basic technical information every website receives.
The contact form. When you send the form on the Get Involved page, we receive your name, your email address, how you would like to help, and any message you write.
Email, phone and mail. If you write to us or call us, we receive what you tell us and the contact details you use.
Technical information. The service that hosts this website automatically records basic details of each visit, such as the IP address, the browser and device type, the pages requested, and the date and time. We may see summary figures from it, such as how many times a page was viewed.
This website has no visitor accounts and no newsletter sign-up, and it does not ask for payment details.
Donations
The Chip In buttons on this website open a separate contribution page run by eFundraising Connections, which processes contributions for the campaign. Contributions are made there, not on this website, and this website does not collect or store card or bank details.
What you enter on the contribution page is handled under eFundraising Connections’ privacy policy, which we encourage you to read before you give. The campaign receives the contribution records it needs to keep its books and meet its campaign finance reporting duties.
How we use it
We use the information you send us to:
reply to your message or question
follow up on your offer to help, such as volunteering or hosting a yard sign
keep you informed about the campaign
keep this website working and secure
keep the records the campaign has to keep
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only:
with campaign staff and volunteers who need it for their work
with companies that provide services to the campaign, such as website hosting and email, which may use it only to provide that service
when the law requires it, or when it is needed to protect the campaign, its supporters or the public
This website does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we do not follow you across other websites. It may save small settings in your browser so that pages work the way you left them. These settings are not used to identify you.
Videos and links to other sites
Where a page includes a video hosted on YouTube, the video loads from YouTube only after you press play. From then on, YouTube receives information about your visit and handles it under its own policies.
This website also links to other sites, including the campaign’s pages on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube and the contribution page. Those sites are run by other companies under their own privacy policies, and this notice does not cover them.
Your choices and requests
If you give us your email address or phone number, we may use it to reply to you and to send you campaign news, event invitations and requests for help. You can ask us to stop at any time: reply to the message, or call or email us using the details under Contact. To stop text messages, you can also reply STOP.
You can also ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. We will do so unless we need to keep the information for the campaign’s records.
How long we keep it
We keep the information you send us for as long as it is needed for the reason you sent it and for the campaign’s records. When it is no longer needed, we delete it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us and to limit it to the people who need it. No website or email service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please do not send sensitive details, such as financial account or identification numbers, through the contact form or by email.
Children
This website is meant for voters and other adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the campaign or this website changes. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the date below.
